Music Weekend

Last Saturday and Sunday boys from the School Choir, String Ensemble and Band had a weekend of playing music with the Wyvern boys. On the Saturday the Choir was preparing music for next term’s Founders Concert. The Chapel rang out with Parry’s ‘I was Glad’ and Dan Walker’s ‘The Wanderer’ which was composed for Newington Preparatory Choirs.  On the Sunday the instrumentalists arrived. There were tutors running sectionals, giving students more specialised help on the music that was being prepared for various upcoming performances.

Thank you very much to all the boys for attending these two days.

Education Sunday

This Sunday, the School Choir will be performing at St David’s Uniting Church, Lindfield at 10:00am for the Education Sunday Service. Everyone is welcome to come and listen. There will be other local schools performing as well.  A yummy morning tea is provided afterwards.

Musica Viva in Schools

Next Friday, The Sousaphonics will be performing for the boys in the Don Brown Hall from 2:00pm. You are welcome to come and watch.
