A Message from Mr Holden
A warm welcome back to Term 3. I hope you and your sons enjoyed the recent winter break. The boys seem refreshed and have enjoyed a very good first week back at Wyvern. It has certainly been an active one with our superb Year 3 -6 athletics carnival on Wednesday and the wonderful Wyverbald Exhibition of Year 6’s portraits in the hall.
I welcome Mr Tom Thoroughgood and Mrs Julie Burke to the staff team. Mr Thoroughgood takes over as Class 4T teacher and Mrs Burke will lead our Learning Enhancement team for the remainder of this year.
I also draw your attention to a change in our Wyvern Deputy’s roles. Ms Sandra Gray has been appointed as Head of Early Years and will have oversight of Newington’s Early Learning Centre. Ms Gray also remains Deputy of Wyvern with responsibility for Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2. Mr Richard Baker now has Year 3 as part of his portfolio with his new title being Wyvern Deputy Years 3-6.
On Monday, we are looking forward to the Wyvern Choir’s participation in the College’s Founder’s Concert. This is the most significant performance opportunity for the College’s top Senior School music ensembles, so the concert will be a special occasion. This year the concert will be held at Angel Place.
