Welcome BACK and we have hit the ground running.

I hope that all the Wyvern families enjoyed the three week holiday break. Whether you spent time in the snow, sun or just stayed at home spending family time together is very precious in this fast-paced world. Term 3 will see a whirlwind of functions happening at Wyvern so make sure you stay tuned or regularly check SPACES for any updates.

The Sesquicentenary Founders Concert last night was a spectacular showcase. Boys from Wyvern were involved in the choir, and it brought tears to my eyes and I felt so proud to be a part of this community. Thank you to all staff and parents for the time they have committed to ensuring the boys were at rehearsals and looking their very best.

WHITE CHRISTMAS IN JULY

The Wyvern event that everyone is talking about: ‘ White Christmas in July’ is being held on Friday 26th July at Ecco in Drummoyne. We have extended the bookings to Monday 22nd July so you can rally up parents in your year group to come along. In conjunction with the event, the P&F are running a raffle for parents with first prize of 10 tickets to the Black & White Ball at The Star on Saturday 14th September (worth $1750). For the students, a chance to understand “recycling” by placing second hand (unbroken) toys under the White Christmas tree for the charity Second Chance Toys. I Look forward to seeing as many parents as possible at the “Mid Year” event as there will be no formal Christmas gathering. FATHER’S DAY GIFTS

Father’s Day gifts are now available to purchase through the flyer. Please note that a special individual picnic blanket is available to order. You can have your family name on the outside case of the blanket to ensure Dad never leaves it behind. Please have the orders returned to the front office by 29th July. FATHER’S DAY BREAKFAST

The annual Wyvern Father’s Day Breakfast will be held on Friday 30th August at 7.30am in the Wyvern Hall. The breakfast is open to all fathers and grandfathers of the Wyvern boys and it’s always fun. The Year 2 class group have worked very hard to ensure that everyone will be catered for, so mark it down in your diary.

WYVERN BIENNALE

An exhibition is comng to Wyvern! The Wyvern Biennale is a collection of art put together by Ms Buining to highlight our talented students over a week period. Opening night will be Tuesday 30th July and the exhibition will continue from 10.00am until 2.00pm every day until Tuesday 6th August, including weekends. We are looking for assistance from 10.00am-12.00pm and then from 12.00pm-2.00pm to supervise the pieces of precious artwork on Wednesday 31st July, Thursday 1st August, Friday 2nd August and Monday 5th August.  K-2 FATHER & SON CAMP

Camp is coming……23rd August until 25th August. Booking forms are now available and we are looking for volunteer dads to assist Costa Mina in organising parts of the events. The volunteer jobs are not big, mainly just to be around on the weekend of the camp to assist. If you are able to help please contact Costa on cmina@reality-check.com.au

TUCKSHOP ONLINE

We are on line….. All lunch orders will now be completed via SPACES – my student account. If you have any concerns with the process please feel free to drop me an email and I can direct it to the correct person. This process is designed to help parents as you can pre-plan all of your lunches for the whole week. The boys can take small amounts of cash for special treats.
