On Tuesday 30 July the 2013 Wyvern Biennale Art Show was launched with a special opening at the  Concordia Gallery with over 200 works from our Kindergarten, Year 3 and Year 6 students  featured. Those attending the opening were impressed with the creativity, diversity and quality of pieces displayed. I congratulate all students and staff for their superb efforts in putting on such a high quality exhibition. In particular, Ms Meredith Buining and Mrs Debbie Bourke, our Art teachers, have worked tirelessly over the recent weeks. In addition, special thanks goes to Mr Terry Fotaras for his enormous efforts and support.

The exhibition remains open for parents to view until Tuesday 6 August (10.00am – 2.00pm week days and 10.00am – 3.00pm on Saturday).

Just a reminder that our annual Newington Preparatory Schools’ Inter-House Athletics Carnival Years 3-6 takes place on Monday 5 August at Hombush.  Please note that buses will leave Wyvern 7.30am SHARP and will return to school in time for our normal dismissal time of 3.15pm.  Some parents might find it more convenient to take their sons directly to Homebush. If this is the case, please contact Mr Mark Caulfield at mcaulfield@newington.nsw.edu.au should you wish to do this.
