OH WHAT A NIGHT! – A WHITE CHRISTMAS IN JULY DELIGHT

It is true to say that when Wyvern Parents get together they KNOW HOW TO PARTY and the White Christmas in July event was no exception. The venue, food and people were all fabulous and everyone had a fantastic time. Thank you to the Kindy 2013 parents that assisted in organising the night with special thanks to Yamila and Mira. In addition, thank you to everyone that came along and helped Phil Argy and myself celebrate our last Wyvern function. It was a truly special occasion as my eldest son started in Kindy at Wyvern where I assisted with that Christmas function, so I feel I have gone full circle. All the wonderful comments about my time at Wyvern that Philip Argy presented were quite touching and I was truly surprised by all the love in the room. Thank you to all. It was a great night all round.

Congratulations to Rebecca Turnbull who won the lucky door prize of a TABLE of 10 at the Black & White Ball. You will have 8 new best friends. In addition, congratulations to Adam Hicks (Edward KL) who won the raffle prize of a table of 10 to the Black and White Ball.

FATHER’S DAY GIFTS

Father’s Day gifts are now available to purchase through the flyer. Chocolates, Sesquicentenary cuff links and movie tickets are all available to look after dad’s needs. Please have the orders returned to the front office by 14^th August.

FATHER’S DAY BREAKFAST

The annual Wyvern Father’s Day Breakfast will be held on Friday 30^th August at 7:30am in the Wyvern Hall. The breakfast is open to all fathers and grandfathers of the Wyvern boys and is always fun. The Year 2 class group have worked very hard to ensure that everyone will be catered for, so mark it down in your diary.

K-2 FATHER & SON CAMP

Camp is coming……23rd August until 25th August. Booking forms are now available and we are looking for volunteer dads to assist Costa Mina in organising parts of the event. The volunteer jobs are not big, mainly just to be around on the weekend of the camp to assist. If you are able to help please contact Costa on cmina@reality-check.com.au

TUCKSHOP ONLINE

We are on line….. All lunch orders will now be completed via SPACES – my student account. If you have any concerns with the process please feel free to drop me an email and I can direct it to the correct person. This process is designed to help parents as you can pre-plan all of your lunches for the whole week. The boys can take small amounts of cash for special treats.

P&F GENERAL MEETING

Thursday 15^th August will see the Term 3 P&F Meeting. At the meeting we will be presenting the K-2 Father and Son Information and will have packages for you to collect. There will an update from Mr Holden, P&F funding position and how we can assist the school in the future. If you have a point of view and would like to make comments come along or send me an email and we can table the comments.

Starts at 7.00pm – 8:30pm, refreshments will be available and Child minding for all parents will be on the rooftop with the Gap Students.
