After returning from an enjoyable but fast school holiday break, what’s happening in Term 4?

SWIMMING PROGRAM

The swimming program will take place for 5 weeks starting today. Boys are required to bring

• Swimmers – black with Newington – $30 or Swim Jammers (longer leg) $55
• Towel
• Goggles
• Bag to carry items (light weight back pack available at uniform shop – $20)

Towels will be delivered Wednesday Week 2 due to the public holiday

WYVERN AGM

The Wyvern AGM will be held on Thursday 17th October at 7.00pm in Wyvern Hall. If you are interested in nominating yourself for a position please complete the attached form and hand to the front office – Attention Julie Gigg.

The meeting will be an overview of the past year and a review of the financials. Also the budget presented for 2014 and social events dates. Everyone is welcome to attend or join the P&F to make a difference at your son’s school.

Free child minding on the rooftop and pizza for the children and a small celebration for the outgoing committee members.

THE GREAT WYVERN BAKE OFF

The end of year is nearly here and we all need the time to gather ourselves and organise summer play days and birthday parties. As the Great Garden party was such a HUGE success we thought to continue the theme of baking and have a BAKE OFF. That’s right – year group against year group to provide the best cake they can make to be judged and eaten by the whole of Wyvern. The afternoon will be a catch up in Mary Andrews Garden with pizza slices and lemonade for sale.

We need 6 “bakers” from each year group to volunteer to be the YEAR GROUP BAKER (YGB).

ORIENTATION FOR NEW STUDENTS

On Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd October orientation for the 2014 incoming students will be taking place. Don’t forget how exciting and scary this was as a new parent so please if you see a new face in the hall smile and say hi, everything will be just fine. I would like to thank everyone for the support they have given the school and myself over the past year. 8 years of Wyvern and I have enjoyed every minute. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Great Wyvern Bake Off and other school events in the future.
