On Sunday 8th of November, Newington played in the Schools Chess Challenge at Knox Grammar senior school. The team consisted of Kim Lam, Hamish Thompson and Fallon Fotaras. These three boys played extremely well finishing with a total of 15\21 wins as a group. Kim won 6 games, Hamish won 3 and Fallon won 6. Each player played 7 games in total. Newington did very well and finished 6th out of 150 schools.

Thank you Mrs Ryan for organising the team and encouraging us in chess over the year. Thank you to the boys for contributing to the team and good luck in future chess competitions.
