To kick off our investigations into People Who Help us in the Community Year 1 had a visit from the Newtown Fire Brigade last week.  The boys got to use the fire hose and try on the heavy jacket the fire fighters wear  when attending a fire.  There were lots of opportunities to ask questions and we even learned how to Stop, Drop and Roll if our clothes were alight.  We saw some video of how smoke travels and we know why we need to Get Down Low and Go go go if we ever find ourselves in danger.
