Artists of the Week

K – 2 Artists of the Week

Jamie Burgess, Aleksandar Petrovski, Kiril Kukeski-Xipolital and Gus Klineberg all from Year 1 have created fabulous mixed media self-portraits. They have effectively represented facial features in a realistic way and displayed excellent craftsmanship with both drawing and painting techniques. Fantastic work.

Artists of the Week – Year 3, Year 5 and Year 6

Year 3 have been continuing their exploration of different ‘Celebrations’. The high witch ‘Helga’ came to teach the boys how to paint spooky houses. These silhouette paintings are unique and interesting.

Year 6 have been working on Digital Portraits based on the artist ‘Del Kathryn Barton’ and her animal ‘friends’. The boys were asked to complete a portrait and an animal using the Sketchbook Ink app, then old fashioned collage as they merged the 2 images. Congratulations to Liam Carriline for his wonderful image of himself as a lion.
