Artists of the Week – Year 3, Year 5 and Year 6
Year 3 have been continuing their exploration of different ‘Celebrations’. The high witch ‘Helga’ came to teach the boys how to paint spooky houses. These silhouette paintings are unique and interesting.
Congratulations to Joshua Kierdal for his spooky ‘Spooky House’.
Year 5 Completed their ‘Alien Animals’ based on the work of ceramicist ‘Jenny Orchard’ . They were able to make wonderful animals using a variety of ceramic techniques.
Well done to Ryan Palmer, Tom Carlisle, Tom Chanter, Will Turner and Oscar Martins for these unique pieces.

5B also completed mixed media paintings using John Olsen’s ‘Sydney Sun’ for inspiration. Congratulations to Eric Carney for his beautiful artwork.
Year 6 have been working on Digital Portraits based on the artist ‘Del Kathryn Barton’ and her animal ‘friends’. The boys were asked to complete a portrait and an animal using the Sketchbook Ink app, then old fashioned collage as they merged the 2 images. Congratulations to Liam Carriline for his wonderful image of himself as a lion.
