It is with great excitement, the Art Department at Wyvern announce the up and coming “Wyvern Biennale”. This exhibition displaying works from Kindy, Year 3 and Year 6 is a first for Wyvern and will be held in the Concordia Gallery, Stanmore Road.

This exhibition includes the traditional Year 6  “Wyvernbald” Portrait Painting competition, as well as entries from students who have decided to exhibit ceramic sculptures instead of paintings.

The exhibition will be opened by Portrait Artist  Murat Uriali, a mature age student at the National Art School. Murat will have 3 works showing at the exhibition.

Students in Kindergarten have been working all year to create interesting pieces based on the face and the human body.

Students in Year 3 will exhibit one piece, either an assemblage, sculpture or painting. These conceptual works challenged the students to think about the idea of abstraction.

The Art Department is kindly requesting volunteer parents from Year 6  to mind  the exhibition at the Gallery from Wednesday 31st July to Monday 5th August, 10.00am – 2.00pm  each day. This would be for 2 hour time slots.
