In Term 1, Year 6 students completed their final inquiry project. They were given this scenario:

‘You, and 50 other people, have just been dropped into a second Glade for the very first time, just before nightfall, but not before you witnessed one other young boy become victim to a Griever. Glade 2, hidden by hedges in the maze, is merely a brick wall, surrounding a green grassy field, with wood in the corner. It has many similar materials available to use as the original Glade. You have until daybreak, when the doors open, to convince the other 48 remaining members of Glade 2 of the best plan to survive indefinitely. What will you do?’

In pairs, students started to create their Glade using the online platform CoSpace and code their digital world. They began to arrange their Glade based on their Geography studies of local planning issues. They also started to structure and organise order in their Glade based on their History studies of Government. Students presented final product on Thursday Week 10.  The teachers have been amazed at the enthusiasm and creativity of students when organising and planning their Glade. It has been an interesting and fun inquiry.
