Hello!

That went quickly didn’t it? Admittedly, I had a bad case of Mondayitis this week after taking off the three days for the extra-extra-long weekend and we all struggled to get back into the routine on Monday morning. I do hope everyone had a great break and it seems like most of Sydney caught at least a glimpse of the Royal Family.

Speaking of family, the Mother’s Day breakfast and gift distribution is next week, on Friday morning. I wonder if my hints hit the mark… Plans for the breakfast are going along swimmingly and it will no doubt be another fun morning and great event thanks to the volunteer mums in Year 3 who are organising it. It would be wonderful if most mums could make it – even to pop in for a few minutes before attending to the other responsibilities we have on the day.

Our Term 2 P&F meeting is on Thursday, 15 May, from 7.00pm -8.30pm. We have a very important keynote presentation, which is about the boys’ social and emotional development. Mr Holden will also be providing us with an update on the school’s anti-bullying policy and building plans.

The NSW Parents’ Council Awards for Excellence program recognise the hard work and dedication by principals, parents and parents’ associations in non-government schools. Nominations for 2014 are open and you can view previous recipients of the Awards here. The 2014 Awards will be presented on Friday June 13, 2014 at AGM.
