STEM Week
In Week 5 – Monday 28 May to Friday 1 June our Wyvern boys will experience a STEM focussed week.
Monday
Year 1 will enjoy a Year 11 student led ‘Light and Sound’ Workshop.
Tuesday
Selected Years 3 – 6 boys will undertake the ICAS Science competition
Wednesday & Friday
Year 6 will stretch their abilities by implementing their knowledge about electricity when they design
 circuits in our STEM lessons.
Thursday
Kindy will have some exciting ‘living’ visitors.
Friday
 – Year 4 will experience the Senior School Super labs when they study all things Geological with Senior
    Science staff.
 – Our budding engineers in Year 3 will work with an industry based design team.
 – Year 2 will put all they have learnt about forces and transport into action by designing an exciting form
of transport. What that form of transport will be is a surprise.
Astronomy Workshops
Year 5 will be able to choose to attend astronomy workshops in small groups at night at the Senior School starting that week to view our brand new Newington telescope. The astronomy workshops are subject to change based on weather patterns but you will be notified about alternate times.
All aspects of this STEM week are an extension of the topics we are currently undertaking in all the year groups. It should be a fantastic STEM-filled week.
