Sesquicentenary Photographic Exhibition
You are cordially invited to view the Sesquicentenary Photographic and Interactive Oral History Exhibition in Wyvern Library. You can examine the photographs that have a Wyvern history focus and view and listen to the wonderful oral histories about Newington which were filmed, conducted and edited by Chaplain Michael Bennett.
You will learn:
- when the first Newington swimming baths were built
- what a Wyvern class in 1959 looked like
- why cows occupied Johnson Oval in the early 1900s
- about the dormitory and boarders at Wyvern
- what happened when a plane exploded over Wyvern in 1945
- many other interesting historical facts about the history of Newington College
The exhibition will be open for parents from 8am until 9am each morning and 3pm until 4pm each afternoon from now until the end of Term 4. You are most welcome to visit our Sesquicentenary photographic display.
