Robby Ingham (ON 1978)

Robby, ex fashion retailer of thirty years, was honoured in the Australian Walk of Style in Paddington. Fashion can be a difficult industry people and Robby along with fellow fashion greats, Leona Edminston and Gary Theodore (Scanlan Theodore) were honoured for their longevity and success in the fashion industry in Australia. Robby features in the picture above on the right.

Associate Professor Dr Iven Young AM (ON 1960)

Iven was awarded an AM in the recent Queen’s Birthday Honours List for excellence and significant service to respiratory and sleep medicine as a clinician, administrator, researcher and mentor, and to professional societies.  A worthy recipient and wonderful contribution. 

What is it about the Class of 1953 ?

At a lunch held for Dr David Lo AM, recipient of the 2015 Newington medal, it was noted that the Year of 1953 produced no less than four Newington Medallists: Professor John Turtle AO, Rev Dr David Manton OAM, Hon Angus Talbot and Dr David Lo AM. Surely, this is unsurpassed in the history of Newington? What an acheivement 1953 !

“Palmy” Awards

Newington Old Boys were honoured a the recent “Palmy” Awards evening – The 2015-2016 Palm Beach Surf Life Saving Club awards. Congratulations to Nick Wiadrowski (ON 2007) on his “Nugget” Howell Memorial Trophy award and Peter Spence (ON 1985) on his Andy Davies Memorial Trophy.  

Rob Walker (ON 1978)

Congratulations to Rob for his outstanding contribution to education. Rob was awarded as a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators (National)  and the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (National).
